Harold Carrington
Published as Volume Fourteen in Paul Bremen's Heritage series (London, 1972), the smart money wagers that Drive Suite was in fact authored by Ray Bremser (who served time with Carrington in Rahway Prison). Versions of the poem appeared under Bremser's name in Beat Coast East: An Anthology of Rebellion, edited by Stanley Fisher (New York: Excelsior Press, 1960) [pages 71-73], and as the first Nova Broadcast Series pamphlet, edited by J. Jacob Herman, with the subtitle "an essay on composition, materials, references, etc. . ." (San Francisco: Nova Broadcast Press, 1968). 21.5 x 14 cm. trim. Offset on saddle-stapled card stock.
