Bruce Andrews
Composed from material generated between the mid 1980s and the early 1990s, The Millennium Project comprises almost one thousand pages of poetry and forms a companion piece to Andrews' Lip Service [Toronto: Coach House, 2001]. Focusing on more socially resonant material, The Millennium Project arranges its eleven chronological volumes into a series of conceptually organized subsections:
1. Distance
2. Context
3. Suture
4. Apparatus
5. Praxis
Across the eleven larger divisions of the project, these subsections are each divided into eighteen smaller units, which correspond to one another with formal and thematic parallels.
Accordingly, you can navigate the project by moving sequentially through one of the eleven volumes (left or right), or from one subsection to its counterpart in each of the other ten volumes (up and down).
