In contrast to subsequent issues, which were perfect-bound in coated wraps, the first issue of Gnome Baker, October 1976, was published in a trifold-format enclosure with pockets housing loose cards, printed recto only and featuring work by three writers: Michael Davidson; Rita Myers; and Michael Palmer.
